Through the hosting of tournaments and the donation of prizes, the Winkler Centennial Golf Course supports many charities.  Boundary Trails Health Centre, Eden Mental Health Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Camp Koininia, Special Olympics are but a few that we support.

2009 will also be the first year that Winkler will hold a Pro AM.  This will be held on the 10th July and will be known as the Hockey Champions Pro Am.  It will be hosted by Stanley Cup champion, Dustin Penner, and will also feature Calder Cup champion, Eric Fehr and Memorial Cup champion, Blaine Neufeld.  All three of these hockey champions are natives of Winkler, and it is sure to be a fun day.  The charity to benefit from this tournament will be the Boundary Trails Health Centre, specifically the Cancer Care section.
